Outward opening Top-Hung awning windows and Side-Hung casement windows with crank-openers are especially typical for the US and Canada. Due to the frequent use of insect screens, it is often not possible to directly access the window sash. Therefore, operators (crank-openers) are used, which exert their force on the window sash from the frame.
With a Roto X-Drive Casement Operator, the window can be conveniently opened up to 90° and closed. In addition, Casement+Awning windows close especially well, as the wind pressing against the closed window automatically compresses the gaskets.
