The improved stability allows the use of wider dimensions compared with untreated wood, and as it is pitch-free and light-weight, ThermoWood is easy to work with. As it is dry and pure, it is ready for surface-treatment, such as a thin coat of pigmented oil or wax to preserve the wood's colour and natural beauty. ThermoWood is hygienic and thus requires only light surface cleaning.
